iPhone Gmail push?

Excuse my ignorance.... but:

If I setup my gmail a/c on my 3GS as above, will push work correctly / will gmail work correctly?

I've always just set gmail up using the "gmail" option on the iphone.... but push doesn't work that way, right?

Thanks. What settings do you have for:

"Mail days to sync"

and

"mail folders to push"?

Left them at the defaults

3 Days and Inbox

It's personal preference really

Oh hang on.

Looks like it doesn't work properly - certain folders (seemingly at random) show up as empty and reading on the google forums it seems this hasn't ever been fixed.

Also, the "unlimited" mail days to sync is stuck at 28days for some reason according to quite a few on there.
