iPhone having a problem receiving calls/texts

Sometimes I receive them, and sometimes I don't, with no indication of a missed call or anything. According to my mates, it goes straight to my answer phone, even if my phone is turned on.

Same with texts, I'll receive them straight away sometimes, and then other times they'll be 8 hours late or more.

What is going on? :p

Andrew this only happens if data is being sent/received on GPRS, 3G can handle data and voice simultaneously. O2's 3G 2100 Mhz network is really patchy compared with other 850 Mhz 3G networks like Telstra or Rogers, so you will constantly drop back to EDGE/GPRS and miss calls if you are surfing/sending emails or if the iPhone is polling for Push notifications. You can disable all Push notifications if it's a problem. Just don't surf on EDGE/GPRS if you want calls to come through
