Hey guys,

Followed half of Justin's guide on unlocking my iPhone but can't get the 1.1.2 update (as only 1.1.3 is available via iTunes) to complete step 3 are there any other avenues to get the update?

Cheers

I managed to find it now anyway. Thanks for replying though :D

A picture for your trouble:

Gave error "5" when I tried to update it using the 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 file hmmm

edit: Stuck at 1.1.3 now, will have to wait Justin's guide to update :(

Been playing around for ages, nothing seems to work think I'll have to sort it later this week.

Doesn't help that I don't have wifi where I am either.

Nope in the UK, will have to see if I can blag a replacement from Carphone Warehouse

I had to start from the begining, putting 1.1.1 back on then jailbrake, upgrade to 1.1.2 then jailbrake. Give that a go, I had to reinstall iTunes as it was giving all kinds of the wrong error messages.

I can't get it down to 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 most of the methods I have tried don't work. Gives me errors usually in iTunes.

Not tried reinstalling iTunes yet.

Dunno why, was trying to update to 1.1.2 from 1.1.1 and it messed up. So tried to fix it that way, an extreme error on my part.

Just came back but the snooty woman who served me yesterday gave me a right rollicking and told to me to get in touch with Apple. Ah well guess I'm stuck till 1.1.4 :(

Wouldn't let me exchange it as the hardware isn't broken.

Not in as many words, she was pretty clued up though. Sly so and so.

Trying to downgrade to 1.1.1 at the mo as I've got the 3.9 bootloader, so might be able to fix it.

The nearest other Carphone branch is over 60km's away, going to Exeter at the weekend though. But they will probably give me the same excuse.

managed to get back to 1.1.1, but as last time before I mistakenly upgraded to 1.1.3. I'm having trouble updating to 1.1.2 just keeps giving me the "5" error.

Anybody have any insight into this? Thanks

Just an update for you lovely people:

Managed to get back to 1.1.2 Jailbroken not sure why I didn't work the first time round. Downloaded the 1.1.2 update file again as a longshot and updated the iPhone without problem. Followed the rest of Justin's guide but as excepted as the baseband changed when I updated to 1.1.3 mistakenly the phone isn't working and rejecting the PAYG SIM.

Guess I'm waiting for 1.1.4 or a new ANYSIM?
