So this isn't a crippling problem, but it's frustrating I can't figure out what's wrong.

When composing a new text message (iPhone4, iOS5), after adding a name, the phone either displays in the content box "Message" or "iMessage" (if the recipient is also on iOS5).

Every other iPhone I've tried has "Text Message", not "Message".

I've tried disabling MMS, disabling iMessage, resetting network settings, etc. But my phone will never display "Text Message", just "Message".

Is this a glitch, or related to some other option?

Mine was set up as a "new" iPhone 4...

My friends' iPhone 4 phones were (I guess) restored from backups, and all display "Text Message". Same settings as mine.

Good to hear I'm not alone, thanks for replying :)

Found one person at work with the same thing. Just "Message".
The other 3 all have "Text Message".

Apart from the 'one person' not having their phone number associated with iMessage (fixed by turning iMessaging off and on again), I can't find anything different between phones.

Possibly related to the language choice? IIRC choosing "English" over "UK English" for example changes quite a bit of the language used on the phone's menus and such.

You may have hit the jackpot here! Setting my language to "English" shows Text Message, and back to "British English" shows Message.

Next niggling bug/glitch:

Loading the standard Calendar app normally shows "All Calendars" at the top. If I deselect any of my 3 calendars (iCloud: Home, Work & Local: Birthdays) then the number of active Calendars is shown (e.g. 2 Calendars). Problem is when I "Show All Calendars" again it just displays "3 Calendars" rather than "All Calendars" in the title bar. I can't ever get the "All Calendars" to show.

This problem goes away when I turn off iCloud calendar, as it leaves me with 2 local calendars (Calendar & Birthdays). If I "Show All" the "All Calendars" title is shown.

Is this the same for anyone else using iCloud and calendar?

Yeah it's definitely the language setting, decided to change mine to 'British English' (didn't even know it was there) and it says just 'Message' for SMS now.
