Forgive me for asking a possibly thick question.
I myself have a couple of old ipods and I dont actually use them, however, my daughter has somehow wedged the price of a 4S out of my wallet for her birthday.
So, now she is hassling me with the how do I get stuff onto the phone etc etc etc... I have chucked itunes onto her PC and also what I have also done, is put itunes onto an old laptop ( It aint going nowhere near any of my proper PCs no way - bloody awful junk like that! ) just so I can piddle about with testing it to get to learn how to use it and put stuff onto the ipods/iphone etc.
The thing is, and I dont know if its just me or my devices or my cables or what, but it seems to me that I have a choice...
Either I can connect charger, OR, I can connect a data cable.
But, I cannot connect a data cable that will charge my iphones as well.
I have bought cables left right and center and I have a couple of docks that are supposed to do it, but they simply do not.
Not only that , but if I connect say, my ipod classic to anything, it will empty the bettery in under an hour, and yet, if I charge it up, it will last for weeks if its doing bugger all, but on a long journey, I have borrowed it to mates and its lasted days on end constant use, so the battery is good.
Anyway, I am clearly starting to waffle again, so if anyone can tell me why I am a douche then Id love to know.
