It wouldnt make sence to add it when no doubt they will update the ipod range again this year to keep it uptodate and will add this or another feature to the old ipod. or they simply dont have the graphics power to do it on the current versions.
 
I hope they don't ruin the design of the iPod.

I think the current design is perfect and really think they should drop the idea for a bigger screen and don't personally want a touchscreen..smudges!
