It is generally too big, it's a good portable media consumption device but on the phone side of things it's awkward to use. There's no question about that, no matter how big/small your hands are. This is pretty irrelevant anyway, as the rumoured device would still be considerably smaller than the Note.

As for this rumour, I really can't see it happening, even though it could be a somewhat smart move, but generally the 4" screen on the iPhone 5 will suit most people just fine.
