I hear the "Make a telephone call" application is an absolute must have.... otherwise its just an itouch...

Oh I forgot Fake Calls - does exactly that and you can select a contact to 'fake call' you. Perfect for getting out meetings! I used to use this until I found a better version on jailbreak.

I'm sure most people use VLC and since I got my iPhone I have started using my PC more and more as a media centre using the app called VLC Remote - the best part about it is that you can browse your whole HDD's using the iPhone and either play them or add them to a playlist straight away. Really awesome!

HELP NEEDED!! (its about apps

some of the applications in your itunes library, including monopoly, were not installed on the ipod XXXXXXX because you are not authorised for them on this computer

what is all that about. i bought and downloaded these apps on my ipod touch. worked fine for a few weeks then yesterday they all stopped working.

what to do?

Have you tried a restore in itunes.. Iv already had to do it for an app that caused problems.

Read this elsewhere so take no credit/blame

* Launch iTunes
* Select “Deauthorize Computer” from the Store menu
* Enter your iTunes Store Account ID and Password, then click the Deauthorize button
* Next, choose “Authorize Computer” from the Store menu
* Enter your iTunes Store Account ID and Password, then click the Authorize button

Not tried it myself....

Not tried it myself....

thanks it worked, kind of

loaded itunes, just went straight to authorise computer and entered my email/pw

it then came up with the message 'this computer is already authorised. you have used 1 of your 5 computers'

did a sync and the apps are working again

I did have VLC Remote, It worked ok if I started the film off on the pc first, it would allow me to pause e.t.c

But if I tried to open a film from the interface on the iphone it just throws up errors in VLC on my pc. Gave up in the end it sucked hard :/

Works fine for me, in one of the early versions people were complaining about it a little but I have the latest version and it works fine. Also the latest version of VLC too - is it possible that you had an old VLC?

Nah i'm using the newest VLC. It is odd I must say. Isn't the end of the world though hehe
