Just noticed that going in to the app store and downloading Facebook gives the new version even though the update isn't yet available. Just thought some of you would want to know.
 
Tons of stuff, the entire interface for a strat. Now able to like stuff and can add fav friends. Best just to download and have a play. I did have to un-install the old version then install again for it to work, might just have been my phone though.
 
just grabbed it this morning and it when over the top of the old version of facebook, no need to un-install for me.

Interface is a gazillion times better.

Probably had time to get through all the update servers now.
 
It's a big improvement on the last version but there's still some features missing.

Not being able to add events to your phone's calendar is really lame and available on other platforms (Symbian, etc).

Uploading photos is still a pretty poor experience too.
 
Just updated mine - looks a lot more usable and even lets you add a page of your favourite people if you like to stalk.

Lot easier to use, specially to look at peoples comments on statuses etc.

Didn't appear as an update, so I went and installed the new version on top.

Don't really care about the UI.. at least they've fixed the 1-way inbox bug*

*where you tap on someones name in your inbox and you get taken to their profile page.. with no way to go back, even with restarting!
 
Seems a lot more responsive too, apparently they spent a fair bit of time on performance with this release. Events is nice but need to wait for the next version to get push notifications...
 
I still can't get to my groups, especially a private one I'd like to see on my iphone, I can only get to them by using a browser.
