Iphone o2 Simplicity contract, how to enable edge? 1.1.4

Hi Guys

I have an unlocked iphone with a simplicty contract, how do i go about enabling edge settings on the 1.1.4 firmware?

Also what settings should i be using, Im finding drabs of info on the net and such but nothing concrete.

The sticky guide only has info for the 1.1.4 firmware and pay as you go users.

Im on a pc btw cheers

It doesnt work, when i try to access youtube it reports no edge connection??

Safari appears to be working, so does email.

Also when i use bossprefs it shows an ip address next to edge, so i guess it is working.

Anyway to test the speeds im getting

have just done a speed tested on bandwidthplace.com and got

195.89kilobits per sec.
23.9kilbytes per sec.

does the sound right?

hmm none of the fixes on installer are working.

I unlocked using ziphone by the way, then updated the bootloader back to 4.6

ahh well have given up with it for now, hope they resolve it with 2.0, just depends on how long it takes for that to be made sim free i guess lol

Used the o2 contract fix, still no joy

im deffo connected at edge speeds though. And not gprs.

im on the simplicty 25 which gives you a free bolt on.

Online 25 is the one you want. You get a choice of free bolt on. 600 mins 1000 texts.

BTW GUYS I HAVE BEEN A PRAT!!

Its my area, no edge connection here, i get the blue box but no E in it. Was working in Milton Keynes until an hour ago and there i was getting a blue box with an E in it, and you tube and such were working with no issues.

Were Edge speeds lol, and no one else spotted anything wrong with the speeds i mentioned earlier on.

Oh well Crappy Maidenhead sucks for the edge side of things.
