Try turning the 3G off , I keep getting this issue at weekends and found turning off the 3G suddenly brings them all in

O2 mast offline in your area? That will cause delayed messages.

I phone was from o2 go into network settings check there correct or clear them

General network then to cellalr data network clear them they should auto appear back if the phone was locked purchased or easy enuff to find on o2 site
