Currently got an iphone which i've had since before they were launched and i love it, although it could do more, but it looks nice i guess.

I text a lot, and i browse the web a lot but that's pretty much it.

I've been offered a swap -

My iphone 8gb for a 2 week old n95 8gb black and £50.

Worth it you think?

I've had an n95 before a few years ago and loved it but i do love the look of my iphone.

What's your opinions? good deal? worth it?

Andy

I have both. I would keep the iphone without a doubt. It depends what you do with it and i know all the limitations the iphone has but for me there is absolutely no contest.

I use my phone for media, websurfing , calls and texts and the iphone is streets ahead. I do a fair bit of online gambling and placing a bet with the iphone is so much easier. Obviously the camera is much better on the N95 but then it depends what you do with the photos. Any pics i take stay on the phone and are viewed on the phone so the bigger screen on the iphone is an advantage. Having iplayer and numerous other applications on the iphone has been really useful and obviously the ipod functions speak for themselves. While the N95 can do so much in theory its just so much easier on the iphone.

Its really horses for courses to be honest i can see people being very adamant that either is best and depending on what they use the phone for they are probably right! You have to think about what you do with the phone and the answer should come to you!

I beg you to keep the iPhone.

Don't hurt yourself with the N95 :(. I have one, and I hate it. The only thing I like is how big it is, I like chunkyness :D. *Wishes he got the E71*
It was an impulse buy, and as above, in theory N95 can do a lot, but its an absolute pain.
Especially if it was on contract, which mine is, never get software updates really.

FFS keep the iphone. I got rid of my N95 8gb ages ago.

Its web browser is awful, build quality is poor and copying music to it takes what can only be described as an age.

Obviously the iphone cant do a lot of the things the N95 can but what the iphone does do, it does a lot better than the N95 and the whole experience of using the iphone is just nicer.

The N95 8GB is a pretty old phone now and has been surpassed by a lot of other S60 smartphones (E71, 5800, Samsung INNOV8, the upcoming N97 and OmniaHD too).

Is your iPhone 2G or 3G? Personally, I'd pick the N95 8GB over the original iPhone just for the better download speeds and the GPS chip. Google Maps is just too good to give up.

I doubt many people would swap an iPhone 3G for a Nokia N95 8GB though, unless they wanted a better camera or something quite specific to their needs (OTG podcasting, Bluetooth, turn-by-turn navigation, etc.). The iPhone 3G fetches far higher prices on eBay.

The fact someone wants to swap their N95 for the iphone should be a clue.

I had an N95 8GB intil I lost it. If I was going to buy a phone now Id want an iphone.

I love my N95 8GB :(

Mine's rock solid and has loads of applications on it.. then again I haven't tried a iPhone so i'm slightly biased.

Its a fine fine phone. I got it on my last upgrade. Problem is i then bought an ipod touch and found that i used the touch for applications, and music (obviously!) and then internet and movies etc etc. I found that with the two devices i only actually used the N95 for making phone calls and texting. Everything else was done on the touch.

My cousin then bought an iphone and once id used hers i was sold!

?? The Camera on the iphone is dire, the N95 8Gb video/pictures are fantastic. Now if you browse the internet a lot then of course the iphone comes out trumps. The only reason I dont have an iphone is for its camera.. Personally I think the dream combo is still the N82 (using wifi hotspot)/ipod touch (for internet)

Is there really such a dramatic difference between browsing on an iPhone than using Opera on an N95? I can't say I have any difficulties browsing...!

yes and frankly it ******* me off. it was fine untill a certain firmware update and now they havent managed to fix it.

ive got both and ive kept both. my n95 is hand when im out on the town - dont care if it gets beat up and the camera is quite capable. my iphone in contrast is turd.

N95 8Gb is far better built than the N95, so if people claim they have an N95 and it's slow/bad build quality or w/e make sure you ask if it's the 8GB one or not.

The 8GB one is a lot more responsive, much better built and has features on it your old iPhone couldn't even imagine :)

EDIT: Although i will admit that the iPhone's web browser is very good.

I ditched my iphone 2G and went for a N95 8GB. Main thing I hated about the iphone is I have to keep charging the battery everyday and love my N95 as it can browse webpage with flash or even flash webpage (especially my spread betting site). Other good things about iphone is the ease of browsing html webpage, large screen for watching video. The N95 has better battery life, can use spare battery, much better camera, google map is very good so iphone map is not an advantage, also I can use my N95 as a 3G dongle so got mobile broadband for my netbook!, also i got tomtom

i'd go with the N95 myself the iphone looks good but don't be a sheep

Love this, lol. So because he could keep his iPhone, it makes him a sheep? lol.

iPhone is a good phone, best one I have ever had to date. Although Aruffell you have an advantage, you actually have the iPhone, so surely you can tell wether you could make the switch?

If your asking for opinions, mine would be you must be mad to switch to the N95.
