IPhone problem

Hi there,

Got a really annoying problem with my one year old iPhone. Whenever it's on silent it switches itself back on temporarily lighting up the screen then switching itself off again, and can repeats as many times as it likes. SSometimes it doesn't do it for hours, sometimes it's all it does.

I think it's hardware as if when on silent I press the top of the phone, even lightly, it does the same thing, as if I'm switching the silent button on and off.

I have my phone on silent 99% of the time so this problem is becoming a real pain...any suggestions?

We're not allowed to talk about iPhones in this forum, there is an Apple forum where you can talk about the iPhone without having to speak to nasty dirty people who have used other products than Apple ones.

You might have more luck there, but Apple products never go wrong there so be careful.

Well, I personally think they should be talked about in this forum.

@ OP, you should take your phone to the Apple store and get it swapped out for a new/refurb one

Could try a reset first though.
