Since yesterday I keep losing signal in most cases I lose all signal, vie got a work phone with me with is also on O2 an I've always got pretty much full signal on that phone. Rebooting sometimes sorts the signal out and it can work for a while but then just drops out again.

I've only got a cheap eBay case for my iPhone 4 atm until my bumper arrives, but just holding it with two fingers on the side it still struggles for signal.

I think I remember someone posting out a Sellotape fix in the sim tray, does anyone have or know if this may help?

The sellotape fix is for when you get the error that your sim card isnt recognised iirc.

You could just stick some sellotape where the attenna is ie the little gap on the bottom left hand side of the phone and see if that fixes the issue.

Tried this 'fix' http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=17316948&postcount=8635 doesn seem to have helped...and now round my parents where I always get full signal but just with GPRS its sitting on 'no service' :(

One thing I have noticed tho is the side of the sim seem to touch the sim tray, could this be causing the issue as it might be shorting out?

LOL im confused...one min your saying you lose reception and now your saying something about the sim card...i have no issues with mine losing signal nor am i getting the sim not recognised error...the above pic is for the sim card error as far as im aware.

If your having signal loss problems due to the way you are holding the phone then either get the free bumper/case from apple if you havent done so or take some sellotape and put it on the bottom left hand side of the phone where the attenna is....that will stop it from interfering with the signal when you hold the phone. The sellotape attenna fix was done by Westyfield i think.

I dont get the no sim error, just tried that fix to see if it would make a difference. Just getting no signal without even holding the phone now.

Well it seems like you must be in a low coverage area although you say your work phone gets full signal...maybe a faulty handset...in which case take it to apple and get them to have a look at it.

Yeah going to see an Apple genuis tonight, only problem is its jb and I can't Desiree before I go. Ive only got Cydia Rock and sbsettings installed. What do you think uninstall sbsettings and poof Cydia and Rock?

Don't take a jailbroken iPhone into the genius bar. Jailbreaking invalidates the warranty, they'd never help you and I imagine they black list the serial number?

Unsure, you could just not turn up?

If you phone the store they would cancel the appointment if you really insisted. I think each store has a direct number.
