iPhone Spotify

The subscription cost seems odd. I'm sure it's good value if you're really in to the service, but a tenner a month will just be an instant turn-off for the curious.

Really, can't find any details of that?

Even the desktop client doesn't just stream music. When you play a song for the first time, it downloads the song from other uses (via P2P) and caches it on your PC. Play it for a second time and you'll see it plays from your machine. Check out the Spotify options - you can specify the size of the cache. The default is 10% of your HDD, I think!

The Android version demoed specifically didn't stream music and only played cached music.

It's not downloading, it's temporary caching of the songs isn't it. (EDIT: Explained above)

I think they'll allow this. I won't be using it though :o

I really hope Apple approves Spotify, however i have the feeling they wont.

If it does somehow make it to the app store i would definitively pay the £10 a month, the flexibility makes it worth it, being able to get any song you want then and there, and never having to sync music across itunes again.
