Don't know, but 2.0 has already been Jailbroken in the early releases.

It also depends if apple changes its stands in activation on itunes or forces you to sign a contract there in the shop. If it is the latter then it'll be a cold day in hell before i sign up to a £45 a month contract for 18 months.

Hmm well 02 and Carphone Warehouse (Sorry if they are a competitor?) Websites no longer have the iPhone available in both 8 and 16GB format....

UK Release is going to be the same as the US i suspect.....

I hope so as I am due an upgrade soon and really want (need?) one! However, I suspect the price will return to normal too which is a shame.

Well then I'll buy a V1.

There is NO way im signing up to a contract for £35 when I can get unlimited texts and 500 mins for £20.

Lets just hope whoever is selling it and apple isn't that stupid.

I was unlucky to buy an iphone 2 weeks before the price drop. Not gonna get stung this time, selling it and it ends on Ebay Sunday! Next iPhone will blatently be out within the month.

I am getting annoyed with all the threads about the iphone being moved to the apple forum - surely the iphone is a mobile phone?? Granted it is an apple product but I think there is room to have a few iphone threads in the mobile section??

Its not *just* a phone, its more than a phone.

iPod/proper surfing and then a phone added on.

So I think it lives in here far far far more than the phone thing.

Infact im buying it *because* its an iPod as well...

Plus the fact the stores have run out suggests it HAS to be on or by WWDC!

A Tytn II is far more than a phone as is the N95 8gb etc etc - and both are far more complex than the iphone. Perhaps they shoud be moved to mp3 or even computers forum
