been offered an iphone 8gb for £130,new unlocked import.
anyone know if o2 will let you switch to the iphone contract without buying the iphone from them?
also.. think its a good price?
 
You need an iPhone SIM to be able to use the iPhone contract. If not, just unlock it and use any SIM card you want.

Use the correct forum next time too.

its a phone and an apple product.. either forum was correct :p

considering I sold an unlocked 8gb iphone for £301 + p&p on the bay a couple of days ago, I'd say it's a very good price and you should definitely go for it!

Was this used? I'm planning to sell mine and £300+ sounds too good to be true? Could i see the listing pretty plz :)
 
My sister has just called (she works in O2 shop in Plymouth).

They've had 9 come in at lunch time, but are yet to be tagged etc.

I've grabbed one (only £90 with her discount :) ), so 8 left if anyone wants to call in/call them

Actually, you can use any 02 SIM, providing it hasn't been activated.

Obviously, if you activate it through iTunes it becomes iPhone-only, but if you lose the SIM or it dies, you can just pop in a new 02 SIM and soft-activate again.

decided to hold off buying till the 3G version is released. As o2 wont let me switch to the iphone tariff, unless i buy the phone direct from them :mad:

Not sure if I should post the link here. anyway trust me it sold and the money cleared the other day - it's probably because they are hold to get hold of for £169 now - so to someone looking at the apple price of £269 a £30 increase is not that bad if it's been unlocked. However to me it meant £130 as I bought at the cheap price.

yep it was brand new, bought to sell..
