You'd likely have more issue with the fact you'd be above the GPS satellites which point down the way... not up

ISS altitude - ~200mi
GPS satellite altitude - ~22,000mi

GPS works just fine on ISS. Indeed they already have GPS antennae installed.

I seem to remember it was a cheap Nokia, but I could be wrong. It was sent up to test how resilient standard electronics are to cosmic rays.

You're right but wrong! ISS is indeed ~200miles but GPS is ~22,000km or ~12,600miles

Didn't know the ISS had such a (relatively) low orbit altitude tbh!
