iPlayer wants to complete with Netflix/Amazon

This is what I had to suffer when trying to watch the Euros last year.

ahh okm not bothered about sky tbh as i refuse to pay for a service that i then have to sit through adverts for.

and as for the live player stuff its a joke.

anyways iv sent a email to the bbc's r and d guys as i cant find anyone else on the every so none helpful bbc site about who deals with 4k iplayer etc, been trying for a while to get a answer view twitter but they seem unwilling to say anything on the matter. gotta love a service you pay for yet have bugger all say on.
 
If the BBC digitised and put every single TV programme / series on BBC iPlayer that they have in their archives from when they were first founded right up to the present day then without a doubt BBC iPlayer would be the best streaming service in the world. Alas I doubt they'll do that. One can dream though.

they wont because of cost probably, although when you look at the wages some of the "talent" are paid it does make you wonder.
