Ive got my dad an iPod shuffle for xmas and wanted to know if I connected it to my computer and put some songs on it for him, would it still work if he connected it to his computer at home. Am i right in thinking it will work but the songs wont show up on his compuer when its connected. (but it will still work)

it would but he wouldnt be able to update it. the songs would have to be wiped.

It'll work fine, but you won't be able to transfer the songs onto the other PC that you put on the shuffle

if he opens it as an external hdd, then he can get the songs off it.

He could put more songs on, but wouldn't be able to transfer the songs you put on off, unless he chose to wipe it.

Safest bet:

Leave it in the box and let him do it. I know that if i were in his shoes id want first go on it! :). (I should know im listening to my new shuffle now :D).
