iPod Classic Bug That I Want Back!

I'll start by saying I have a massive addiction. Every night for the past 5 or 6 years, I listen to a Ricky Gervais, Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington XFM Show or podcast in bed. I don't use my iPod at any other time of the day apart from bed time. It's the only thing that gets me to sleep.

A while a go, when I charged my iPod Classic, I'd select an episode from a playlist and it would only play that track and then stop. This bug seemed perfect for me as I would be asleep by the end of an episode so it would save my iPod battery from continually playing other episodes in the night.

Recently though, this bug seems to have been fixed and it now plays all the songs in the playlist. Does anyone know how to revert this?

I have tried Google but have just found results about people fixing this bug.

Thanks.

It's a bug, so I doubt there will be a method to unfix the fix :P

The best suggestion I can recommend is downgrading, provided that upgrading was the reason that the bug ended up fixed in the first place.

Ah ok, thanks a lot.

I guess it's not that much of a big deal. It's not hard to re-charge it anyway.

Markyp has the best idea.

- You literally highlight the song or podcast you want
- Hold down the middle button for 2 seconds and a menu will appear
- Choose add to On the Go playlist
- Go to the On the Go playlist and listen, fall asleep etc etc :p

Then once your done with it and want to add a new one.

- Go to the On the Go playlist, highlight the old song/podcast
- Hold down the middle button again and select remove from On the Go

Then rinse and repeat :)

In the nicest possible way.. you should see a doctor about this addicition.

The same podcasts/shows EVERY night for 6 years? Not healthy.

Well, there's a few hundred Xfm shows and podcasts so it's not like I know it all word for word. There's just something soothing about Karl Pilkington's moany voice.

Ok, I had no idea you could do that. That has really really helped.

Thanks a lot.
