Reason I’m on is a Ipod Nano or two of them as of today. Sister got the latest I-pod Nano a few years. I put all her singles and albums on it with considerable trouble as she does not has an i-tunes account and has no wish or use for one. All she wants is her music playing on the beach on Dubai and could not care a stuff that its apple.
The i-pod gets used only on holiday a few times a year, she is careful with it and it looks brand new. Last time she was in Dubai it stopped working. Put it in my PC when she came back and all the music was missing. Put all her music back on and it seemed to work fine the few days I played with it. So it got put away back in its case even in the original apple shop bag.
So she is flying out to Dubai again and it’s dead. Wont hold a charge but will play music on occasions when its powered by the mains or USB but not always. It was flashing for twenty minutes earlier on. Music seems still to be there although I did a reset using my i-tunes. It just flashes the apple and a pink background when I disconnect it from main or USB.
Of course the answer to it was her to go into apple be told she would have to wait two hours for tech support and even then it could cost £80 for them to look at it. Usual from Apple staff I have always found then totally useless, I don’t mean that personally but always come out thinking what a waste of time. I have been across the country in Edinburgh all week and just got back a few hours ago .So her answer was to spend another £120 Ipod Nano. Furious that apple product used two or three times on holiday has given up the ghost without cabled power. To me the better must be stuffed but why I don’t know.
Just bought a I-pad Air 2 64GB and tempted to take it back as it’s unopened and still in the John lewis back from Sunday, Although family say don’t be stupid but have to say not impressed. When they work they work well but you need an apple degree when they don’t or want to do stuff like copy a simple folder of music. Still got the joy of moving her music on to the new one and start up the new Ipad. Just annoyed as I got her the Nano when she said she wanted somthing to play music when abroad.
