Music quality is all subjective and depends on headphones, type of music you listen to, etc. etc. I have an iPod, but then I'm not an audiophile so have no concerns about a lack of audio quality that I am unable to hear.

You can also watch/listen to videos on the video iPod.

iTunes is designed for use with iPod

The best mp3 player depends on who you are, there's no definitive answer - although most of the audiophiles I know won't touch an iPod with a bargepole.

mp3 is a type of audio compression format. iPod can play mp3 music files.

ok what i want then:
ipod so i can use itunes
sound quality that beats a cd walkman :p
video features, so i can watch the music video of mad world and maybe an episode of the simpons :p
space i dont care really as long as it can fit say a 1000 songs and 5-10 episodes of simpons.

Thats basically what i want plz

Sat here listening to my shiny new iPod Nano 8Gb that the 'fat fella' dropped down the chimney for me this morning. Very impressed. Quality of music is very good - I've opted to store all my music in MP3 format rather than the iTunes default of AAC. Only done this so that I can access my music collection on other software e.g. Adobe Premiere Elements that does not recognise AAC format.

iTunes has to be used to store all your music on your PC then using iTunes you copy music to your iPod. All iPods require iTunes to function. If you get an iPod invest in a better pair of headphones as the Apple ones are ****. I'm using my old Sony in-ear buds that I was previously using with my Mini Disc.

Only reason I opted for the Nano was to go running with really - not convinced the hard disk of the video versions would stand up to the wear and tear of running (flash drive in the Nano so no moving parts therefore not an issue).

Regarding storage capacity, there is no way my music collection of 320+ albums will fit onto my Nano therefore, if you want to go mobile with your whole collection then go for the iPod video 30Gb or 80Gb. The 30Gb video is a similar price to the 8Gb Nano.

Can't really see the point of videos on an iPod though although the screen quality is first class. However, you could use it to display a video on a TV hooked up to the iPod if you wanted to.

My only issue with my Nano is that the display screen appears to be slightly off balance within the case housing - the gap from the bottom of the screen on the left hand side is about 0.5mm less than the distance on the right hand side. not a major issue but it just does not look right. Anybody else had this as a problem and if so, what did you do to get resolve it - replacement through Apple Store?
