iPod shuffle

Iam thinking about getting one for mum for her birthday, but I read a small review in which which said it's difficult to control and you have to use the supplied headphones remote.

Does anyone own one? Are the version 2 models better and easier to use?

As she is a Christian I was hoping to buy some books or/and bible verses on there if this was possiable?

Cant help with the shuffle but as far as the books or versus goes the answer is yes. All you need to do is load them into Itunes then sync to the shuffle.
