iPod Sync software?

I'm currently using MGTEK dopisp to sync with WMP11, but I'm wondering (before I buy it) what the best alternative is to put media onto an ipod (classic)?

I don't mind drag and drop, although I quite like syncing with WMP, which is my media player of choice. Although, if there was a way to play media off the ipod when connected, that would be a bonus also.

Had that going when it first came out, isn't ipod support something that has been brought out in later versions?

Winamp also has a pretty decent iPod plugin now. There was an external plugin project but the code for that is now packaged with Winamp.
