Okay, now my stupid ipod wont sync all the songs of my playlist for some stupid bizare reason which is really annoying me atm. It alsy says,

"Attempting to copy to the disk Jay's iPod failed. The disk could not be read from or wrriten to."

Ive tried restoring, restarting, reinstalling itunes, different usb ports, EVERYTHING.

It happened to my old ipod which eventually died, now this one is one of the brand new classic 80GB's only bought at the end of March now its giving up the same errors

Please can someone shed some light on my situation :(

EDIT: I would absolutely love a simple drag and drop program instead of this bull **** itunes. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
Jay

Likely a faulty iPod. My 3G started doing this a couple of weeks back whilst making bad sounding clicking. It's taking 3-4 attempts to get it to sync with my Mac.

It syncs easily sometimes but others it just acts like a brick, apple guy was going on about hard resetting etc. ive tried it all.

I think if i could use another program other than iTunes it may have some hope.. but i dont know any that would cater for what i need.

So, have you been in to a store or just phoned them up?

I'd expect a genius to simply swap it for a new one there-and-then...

If you explain that it's an intermittent fault, I don't see the problem for them.

Yeh explained the error code to some guy, he kind of just took a deep breath and hard reset it and said see if that works

Might go back again.

Just managed to get it working correctly by deleting my whole library and re adding it all. Which isnt what i want to be doing everytime i want to update it.
