ipod touch 2g wifi problems

Hi,

Been having a little trouble witht he wifi on my ipod touch recently (wifi has eben working fine for over a year). It finds my wifi find, connects me with a full signal but after 20secodns or so it drops to one bar which i can browse the internet (just) but i cant log onto the app store.

I been using 2.2.1 so i upgraded to 3.1.3 btu this hasnt made the blindest bit of difference, if anything its got worse (it was fairly itnermittent before now its all the time).

Any ideas? is there way to downgrade back to 2.2.1?

Anyone got any ideas? Its not my wireless router, as my laptop works fine and even my SE w960i has a full signal.

it sounds like it could be a router issue even though you said your laptop works fine. Have you done a restore on the ipod touch after you have installed the new firmware?

Yeah, done a couple of restores. Not convinced its my router, all the other wfis near me are all on the same signal strength (my neighbours is usualy fairly strong).

Will keep trying tho, need it for when i go back packing, was gonna be my way of contacting home with hostels free wifi.
