ipod touch 4g wifi problem

right . i just bought a new 32gb ipod touch 4g . its a nice bit of kit . but how the hell do i connect it to my wifi?

i scan for my network ,the ipod picks it up i enter my password it accepts and thats as far as it goes , i cant connect to anything even though it says im connected

is there a certian way to do this correct ?

I think I know why..

Go into the settings and WiFi. Once you see your network on the right hand side click the arrow pointing to the right. Then what does the first part of the IP Address start with?

It should be 192.168... My guess is that it isn't (And its 169.254?)

yes it says 169.254.62.67 . whats the problem here ? i havent a clue :mad:

hope you get it fixed, a restart of the router also worked for me. Now its all ok though -- I never had a problem on my iPad actually with it, only was my iPod touch -- can't remember how i solved it.
