Well as the above i have a Ipod Touch, just purchased the Fiio E5 and lineout cable now trying to decide on the headphones.

I don't mind if they are in ear or over ear design, but have a £100 budget. I was looking at the Goldring NS1000's and paired with an E5 they are supposed to be brilliant, but i am unsure if i'd like massive cans while out and about.

Any other ideas? I don't mind paying more, if they are worth it but would rather not.

Goldring NS1000 are actually really small compared to other full sized headphones. Make sure to order them from SuperFi though. I don't find E5+passive mode any better than NS1000 on their own with ANR on.

Would they be smaller than my HD 555's that I use at home? I have never had big phones while out, normally CX300 or AKG K26P so that is why I am unsure as what to use.

I am one of those people who thinks people who wear headphones out look like absolute *****, but I have NS1000's and they are not that big tbh and have worn them out, I have mine paired with a Xonar DG and I love them, I have ANR turned on always. I will get a fiio e5 for when I'm out and about when funds allow. They are great headphones.

I would describe NS1000's as being "Over ear, just"
