Im thinking of getting one, but ive got a couple of questions.

It seems the new generation 4 ones have just come out and are £189. Can i still buy the generation 3? Im guessing they would be a lot cheaper and i might be able to afford a 32gig generation 3 one instead of an 8gig generation 4 one.

Whats the averge size of a game? I liked the look of Dungeon Hunter. How long can i expect to play a game before having to recharge the battery?

Gen 3 Ipod touches have crashed on the 2nd hand and resale market.

32GB versions are going from £140-£160 depending on condition.

Unless you want a really thin ipod, have genuine use with the higher resolution display or want facetime, go for the 3rd gen imo. Cortex A8 at 600mhz + SGX535 isn't really much worse than the Apple A4 (Cortex A8 at 1ghz + SGX535).

For most (unless you're unlucky enough to buy one bought on release last year) you can also purchase applecare off ebay for £18 and get another years warranty.

I got a boxed-as-new excellent condition 64gb iPod touch from CeX for £235 a couple of weeks back. I imagine prices will drop a bit now that the 4 is out.

I'm upgrading to touch version 4 already have my phone nokia and the next phone i'm getting will be under 10€ now that the touch has a camera on it :D
I'm just giving my old 32GB touch to the wife though...

Well blow that.
Went down to Apple to get a new one, but had really bad service so I left empty handed.
Kinda convinced myself i dont want one now.
