iPod touch home button response

Sometimes I have to press the home button more than once, sometimes several times for the iPod to respond. Is this normal? Happened to anyone else? It's not that old, only had it since February.

Happens for me.. though sometimes it might just be me lol so i end up going to the search screen

I often need to press the Home button/Lock button more than once when the iPod has been locked.

It seems to know I have pressed the Home button twice because the iPod controls appear on the Lock screen even though the initial press does nothing.

Wouldn't bother for one over something so silly. Unless it is really bad..
