not sure
hey all I am looking at the new Ipod touch G4`s and I am not sure if there a waste of money or if there is a better alternative for me say some kind of android?.

I mainly want to use it for a little gaming, ebook reading in pdf and other formats is a must, apps for engineering equations but most of all I want a device where most of the apps are free :P.

Battery life would all so be important I have looked at the Ipod and what I see so far looks great but is there any thing else in the same league as I have heard great things of androids.

Oh and I am not after a phone here but the device must all so have WIFI,BT etc.

Thanks

Does android even have anything that rivals the ipod touch? Dont think they do.

Surely just get an android phone? Mine has taken over the roll of my iPod (and thank god as that thing was on its last legs, who thought that a mechanical HDD in a portable music player was a good idea anyway?) and more.

I don't think there really is anything rivalling the ipod touch as Apple are the only company money grabbing enough to put out a media player that does everything a smartphone can do BUT phone...so a smart then...what you are looking for is a smart.

Ipod Touch cant be beat. I mean it has everything you could want. And with it being Apple then you have easy access to download music/podcasts/movies etc using iTunes

I had an older gen iPod. Gave it away and just my Android DHD. The sound quality is better on my phone as well.

As your not actually after a phone as well, it looks like Apple may be getting your money.
