can i read pdf on a touch?

Yes! Open a PDF from an email attachment or safari. Or in iBooks. I think if you have iBooks app, you can load them into it from safari or mail as well (or the normal way from iTunes).

I use Stanza on my iPhone for ebooks of all kinds.

Download it on your iPod Touch and your computer (there are versions for both Mac and Windows) and open your PDFs with that.

It'll convert them to ePub files and you can then either transfer them over wifi, or save the ePub and drag & drop in iTunes
