Through the company i work for i can get a 3g ipod 8gig touch for £120. Its an Apple refurb, new battery and assessories.

I only want one to play games and surf the next while sat around the house. Does the third generation have a speaker? An d is it worth it for £120? Anyone got experience with refurb 3g's?

They don't make an 8gig 3G touch do they?

I have a 2G 8gb iPod touch myself and it works well. The speaker isn't very loud though, you can pick up used 2g's for less than £100 now so £120 does sound like too much to me. Will it come with warranty?

Yeh, definatally the 8g 3rd gen ipod touch. It comes with a full apple year warranty. New battery, packaging... the works basically.

They did and they didn't make a third gen 8gb. It's got its own part number, but it's the same as the 2nd gen.

Personally I wouldn't bother, it's got the same CPU as the 3G (not S) which means it struggles with the new software.

Ah, i see. I can get a small discount on the new (4gen?) ipod touch. Maybe ill hold out for a month and raise the funds.

Thanks for the replys.

It'll be worth it - the old 8gb is getting to the point now where it's struggling, there will be stuff coming soon it just won't be able to do. Well, there is already, but more so.

It has FaceTime and a video camera, it must have!

As far as I know you don't need the headset for FT, I presume they use one mic between them
Cheers, I'm very tempted by the 4g now...

It's just a shame the 4g's are the best part of £200, I think they would fly out the door if they were £150 or less... I guess that there isn't really any alternative so I'd better get saving...

I'm loving my 4G iPod so yes they are most defo worth it - I can't say how well Facetime works as haven't had the chance to actually try it yet but it'd be useful to have a go sometime just to know it does actually work as they say!

Got my 64Gb for £289 :D
