Ipod Touch Second Generation?

Hi there,

I've been looking at buying an Ipod Touch for a little while now (they just look so nice

) but i've been reading a few reviews of them and there seem to be a few drawbacks to them im not so keen on. (One of them being the cost

)
I have heard rumours about a second generation ipod touch in the last few weeks, i was wondering if any of you Apple experts might know if and when the next gen touches might be released.

Next gen iPod Touch, I doubt if one will surface within the weeks.

Next gen iPhone on the other hand, i.e. 3G version, more than likely in the next few weeks... or so many Apple fans hope

Aww, i was hoping there might be a change for the touch coming, sounds good with the iphone though. I would get an iphone but the pricing is WAY too steep for me.

No need for a second gen touch as far as im concerned, i would imagine apple will just up the hard drive capacity if anything. The one good thing about the touch is the ability to put other apps on it whether you jailbreak it or buy them from apple...which unfortunately i did but then i didnt hear about this jailbreak lark till it was too late...already updated my touch to 1.3 firmware.

The Touch only came out like 5 months ago, wouldn't expect anything until much later this year, if anything!

Now just to decide whether to get the 8GB or the 16GB one

Agree with the first point.

3G iPhone is still a long way off imo. They released the 16GB not so long ago. A 3G iPhone should be released later in the year.

Does anyone know much about when Apple are releasing the SDK so i dont have to jailbreak my touch? (because i really dont want to)

Looking forward to the SDK.
Im not keen on Jailbreaking my 32Gb Touch, and with proper apps being able to be made with the SDK, and not some dodgy web app, it should be pretty cool.
