ipod touch with itunes

You can only sync an Ipod to one computer.

One computer can have many Ipods, but not vice versa.

If you choose manually manage iPod then you can connect to as many PC's as you like.

Ok good. i dont really want to sync it to anything. i just want to drag and drop **** on the device from whatever pc im using and yea i own/have access to a lot of pc's

good luck with this I cannot for the life of me get it to work.

I've choosen manual on all PCs but it still seems to regularly wipe my touch it also seems to "forget" this choice whenever they apply an update to Itunes :o so watch out for that or you'll try to add a song and find it's the only one on there when you are out and about. :(

wow is it? thats not cool and if its a major issue i dont think i will buy a ipod touch. i own many pc's and my music is spread across all of them.

i also work on a pc for a living so i occasionally download songs and want to put it on a mp3 player but if itunes keeps re syncing it then its a deal breaker for me.

Why the **** does it need to sync every time?

I'm a new owner of a Touch and it works brilliantly for me, not needing to sync. I have 2 pcs and it does not sync to either.

Jas72; You need to into the options in iTunes preferences then 'devices' with your iPod unattached. Tick 'prevent iPod from syncing automatically'. Click 'ok'. Connect your iPod, if it comes up in the top display saying it is syncing, simply click the 'x'. Then click on the Ipod in the Left hand side. Run along all the tabs and make sure they are all unticked. Repeat for both computers :)
Also, when you click on your iPod in iTunes there is a setting (in the 'summary' tab) 'manually manage music and videos' make sure that this is ticked.
