I've activated it.... just dont want to install it on my PC, I'd rather leave it on the wifes laptop but naturally wouldnt mind transferring some songs/videos etc on it. Are there any good programs that allow me to do this?

I have tried a few of the programs I have used on a shuffle to no avail - something to do with the touch not being accessed as a disk or something.

I hate itunes with a passion, its slow and cruddy in my opinion (and yes I am allowed one of those :P) so will hope that alternatives start popping up soon!

Winamp might work with it. The ml_ipod plugin is good for managing iPods properly (i.e. without iTunes), but it doesn't support the Touch yet.

I guess I'll just have to wait. The few programs I've tried have all needed iTunes installed as it uses some of it's DLL's. I cant see it being a massive problem... I can fully access the filesystem via FTP, it's just not in a format that I can drag and drop MP3's and vids. Since the iPhone is quite popular I'm sure someone clever will cash in :)

I also hate iTunes.

Give MediaMonkey a go!, its a Winamp Clone (I think a Clone of Winamp 3 that actually works!!).. it also handles 'Coverflow', which Winamp doesn't.. I tried it, but (unfortunately) I've gone back to iTunes...
