Hi all,

Am not new to the site, just have been lurking in the background, soaking up in awe the talent and advice.

I'm very new to photography (5 months) and my love and thirst is growing day by day.
With all the good weather we are having I'm keen to get out and about more. Can anyone from Suffolk / Essex etc recommend areas to shoot? I'm actually open to all styles of photography as I'm trying to explore everything to understand a little about what my "skill set" and "interest" is.
Also, if there is any meets etc going on, I'm likely to be a little annoying, as I'll asking a million questions but will happily boost anyone's ego :) haha! Plus supply coffee to anyone who is willing to help me.

I have a modest kit compared to some, but am no stranger to the odd 'compulsive purchase'.

So far I've done very little quality work, but it's been pleasing to my eye at times.

Here is a few examples of what I've done. Been converted to JPG via Piscasa so quality is low.

C & C always welcomed, as learning is the main aim.

Loving the great work, really hope I can get up to the standards of most here.

try pakenham mill 200 year old mill 1000 years its been a mill and across ie 1/2 mile is a nature reserve you can pull over at and be close to swans/geese etc very nice down a14 towards woolpit turn of to norton and go through to mulleys roundabout youll pass the nature part and turn left then left again your in to pakenham

then you can go on to bury st edmunds for even more buildings and the like..

thats a small part of suffolk for a quick start..

Pin Mill - classic riverside boats, barges and wildlife.

Flatford Mill - Constable country - amazing landscapes - try to recreate some of the classics.

Foxhall Stadium - if you've some long fast glass, check out the Ipswich Witches speedway

Ipswich quayside - lots of boats and contemporary buildings. I took a few snaps before breakfast a couple of Fridays ago - should give you an idea http://www.flickr.com/photos/gregkingston/sets/72157623916983632/

Aldeburgh - classic seaside old fishing boats and 'that' scallop monument as well as the House in the Clouds just down the road at Thorpe Ness

Dunwich and Minsmere nature reserves - great for migrating bird wildlife and some really good hides too. You'll need long lenses

Just a few for starters :)

Sounds good so far, thanks.

I've added them to my list, hopefully get some good weather this weekend.
Love the examples.

My kit as mentioned is quite modest at the moment.

450D
18-55mm EF-S (stock)
50mm 1.8
70-200mm F4 L

Think I need a wide angle of some kind.
