Tehran has announced that it successfully launched a research rocket carrying a mouse, two turtles and worms into space.

At last they re moving ahead, Iran next to the moon, it just amazes me that other countries have space programmes and aren’t really dependent on transports to space by other nations

EDIT: The saying "I've got a turtle head floating round" has never been so realistic...

According to reports china has a very good fusion reactor, and one of the reason why they didnt care about this climate change issue, because they dont have plans to use old tech like most western nations.

They are building 2 fusion reactors one near hong kong and another near urrmqi the later is to power that city.

What's the point? Wasn't the idea of sending animals into space to see if they could survive the rocket's forces and the weightlessness of space itself, hence humans being able to survive as well?

We know this already so I don't really see why they did it.

iirc there's a Japanese company that you can pay to have your satellite (you can send your ashes if you like)launched for a reasonable price (ie not hundreds of thousands/millions

you get a small cube to fill iirc.

orbit doesn't last forever either.

Although iirc we launch over 200 new satalites every year.

The US has trade sanctions with Iran but it hasn’t stopped them from trading with the rest of the world.

I would have thought that you are talking $50m or more depending on the weight for large ones. It is a lucrative business for some. Just look at some of the launches planned for this year:
