the First one's okay, and you've brought out the texture of the flower really well, but the background OOF spots are quite distracting. i'd soften them in PS.

the second shot, i'm not so keen on. i take it that the small pink/purple flower is the focal point? unfortunately there's a lot going on in the photo especially in the foreground, which detracts from the image overall.
then again, i'm not so keen on yellow so i might be baised.

Yes about the second image i've been told the same by others.

for the second shot, you could try desaturating all colour channels except pink/purple and seeing what happens?
