Irish League Football fighting

I don't want to offend anyone, but it's more a NI problem than a football problem. It's not uncommon in northern club GAA matches(An irish sport) for large scale brawls.

I don't think that incident has anything to do with being an NI problem. Its a few thugs who simply could not control tempers. No crowd was involved. Just the thugs who play!

Bans for everyone who did anything but defend themselves or a team mate(to a certain degree) and judging by that kick to the head and how aggressive, violent and dangerous it looks at someone who again from those pictures appears to be defenseless, that guy should be looking at jailtime.

I've often wondered actually, if in any football match, prem league, CL, world cup, if someone came at you and started throwing punches, you're not supposed to retaliate if it was just a kick out, but if someones actively attacking you would you still get sent off if you deck someone to protect yourself? IT occured to me that ref's probably wouldn't take that into account and would give you a red card, mostly you could/should have the option to back away but in a situation you wouldn't I wondered if its "ok" to defend yourself.

Idiots. Looks like one player in particular lost his temper. Can't say the look on the manager's face is particularly pleasant either and is a pretty big hint of where the players could have gained their mentality from.

The photos really do seem to make out that the aggressors were the team in red.

The guy with the kick to the head definitely should be looking at a life ban + a spell in the cells. Just ridiculous. I'm not a football fan at all but it's just not on that violence.
