Maybe it was the left posting the swastikas, just as they say nazi more than anyone else.

Maybe it was trolls.

My point is they're assuming anti-semitism from that, not even remotely a good measure of anti-semitism.

However it was a lot of change in a short period of time from a right wing politician over a left wing career with vocal unions, so it was always going to cause ructions. Some of the things were also ill advised, the focus on academic rather than vocational, the reduction in value of the Arts, too much change too quickly not giving time for them to bed in.

Gove gets an awful lot of hate, some of it deserved, but a lot because of who he is rather than what he has actually done.

Good post.

I think a lot of the changes were seen as ideological rather than evidence based.

Removing coursework for example may have mitigated copying, but equally punishes those students who don’t perform well under exam conditions.

As you say, the rate of change and the way it was handled could have been much better.

He basically looked at 1950's education and said yes that the solution, he ignored all the experts in the area and just did his own thing visit a primary school and then tell me his legacy is good!

It was blatantly based on how you actually feel but sure, try and make out you didn’t really mean it... I’m sure everyone will believe you. It also fits in perfectly with your other pearls of wisdom in this thread.

To be honest I think your average cry of anti-Semitism is about as tenuous as any other cry of racism/discrimination etc. Victimhood is currency these days and everyone’s out to maximise their earnings.
