err so whats the difference? All i see really is the warranty length, am i missing something?

Check rpm and cache. If its like wd red and red pro the rpm is higher. Depends on noise vs speed really.

I am not sure. It seems that once you get above a certain size even the rpm is the same. So I dunno. But I do know that warranties cost a lot so it is possible that this is the only difference in the larger drives.
