IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL after installing ANY GPU driver.

Okay. So got a replacement SSD after my last one died, installed Windows on it, drivers, software etc. everything I needed and it was fine. But I made a mistake moving some important folders around that couldn't be fixed, so another fresh install was the easiest way to go.

After installing Windows again, everything is fine until I install drivers for my GPU. Doesn't matter which version I try, upon startup after restarting I get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL blue screen.

I can't find a solution to my exact problem online, but I'm hoping someone here has experience with this blue screen, or perhaps knows a solution? I know it can be caused by drivers or hardware, and in my case my GPU, or at least it's drivers.

Thanks for any help!

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is normally assocaited to RAM problems, so check your ram is fully operating at the correct settings. Use memtest86+ to verify the memory.

Check also the event log for any clues..

Last time I was asked to use memtest for something I never ended up using. I have problems trying to burn it to a disc, and while I have it installed to a USB device, I have no idea how I'm supposed to actually boot memtest with it.

Any idea how to use memtest via the USB device?

Just download and burn Hiren BootCD, its on there (and you boot to it rather than into windows)

Yeah I figured it out, booted from the USB left it running for 1 hour 50 mins, even though it told me a long time before that it passed without errors. So yeah, error-free, it's not the memory. I'm sure this is to do with the GPU or the drivers for it cause I get it only when I install any version of the driver for the GPU.

Anymore suggestions?

you probably need some IOH/NB voltage increase at a guess

And what is that exactly? (not too tech savy here).

Please remember this was all working just fine until I reinstalled windows (and I#ve reinstalled 2 more times since). I can tell this is a GPU problem by looking at the perfmon /report thingy. It says:

'The device, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580, is reporting "tv_ConfigMgrErr19". This device will not be available until the issue is resolved. The Plug and Play ID for this device is VideoController1.'

I've attached the rest of the info and some blue-screen stuff in the zip for someone to look at.
