Hey all, I was just wondering if downloading and installing these would give a performance boost with my vertex 2e, and if so how much?

I remember the last time I installed the drivers, windows would not pick up 2 of my F3s, although the IRST management tool would, and the only option was to reinstall windows. Since then, I haven't installed them again because I'm scared the same thing will occur. What do you think?

Cheers

You can uninstall the RST drivers you know. Sounds like you may have been using one of the leaked betas that were floating around sometime before the official release?

As for how much perfomance you will gain, it depends very much on your particular setup. From personal experience I saw some extra performance on my Intel SSDs with the latest RST in benchmarks but probably nothing I'd notice in real use. The main advantage of the current drivers is proper TRIM support.

PS Wasn't there an issue with F3s and certain ASUS mobos? Think Samsung updated the firmware but perhaps a BIOS update might help.
