Is 1.4v safe for a R9 290?

What things did you notice Doogles?

I wish someone would do an article testing hardware to destruction. I.e; taking say a couple of R9 290's and running them for days on end with huge over volts until they fail.

The restart thing you were taking about, normally with my last cards when I overclock too far normally it would BSOD or if it was only ever so slightly overclocked to far I would have the drivers recover. If the memory clock was to high on my old cards I would always see a black striped screen but with the R9 290 I always just get a black screen and have to push my reset button, no matter what I do.

There are some other things but I can't really remember and I am also very tired lol, hope I make enough sense

EDIT: The other thing I have noticed is that this R9 290 doesn't seem to like changing voltage much, whenever I alt+tab it seems to be slower into the game.

My temps are fine core is under 85c and my VRM's don't go over 70c so I should be safe right?

Sounds fine to me. Vrms are the temps you need to keep in check the most.

The max mine did was 1310/1500 +175Mv using TriXX.

That's pretty good.

Yup not bad. A lot of the clocks I've been seeing people get lately have been poor in comparison.
