Is 4.8 @ 1.18volts good for a 8600k overclock , tested with prime 95

I think it would go lower , but I have spent ages testing just bringing it down from 2.8v to 1.18 volts testing each step along the way...

Temps seem pretty good at 73 degrees using a h80i v2 ....I guess people will say delid it , but I'd rather lose a few mhz and keep the 3 year warranty.

Hmmm are you sure thats v core your touching as i dont think it was ever 2.8 ?

I originally set it to 2.8v (gigabyte z370 k3 mb) to overclock working up from 4.4. ghz , went to 5.0 ghz then brought it back to 4.8 ghz , then started to reduce my voltage downwards.

2.8?? Was you cooking with your cpu? Lucky it didn't pop. Most ive gone is 1.6 on a old CPU

Doh what a donut I am !!! ...sorry It was 1.28 v , brought down to 1.2 volts

Nice , I picked it up used , the last owner said he had it running at 5.2ghz...but I am happy running it lower and cooler
