Is a G400 mouse overkill for normal use?

I'm at a PC for probably about 10 hours a day including work. As title suggests is a gaming mouse like the G400 overkill for day/day use and only very occasional gaming? I had been using a mini mouse with work laptop but it hurts your hands when using for long periods. Any suggestions?

Sounds good enough for me then. It's on TWO so not bad at £26.

So I ordered this mouse and it really is fantastic. It's the most comfortable thing to use ever. Great purchase.
