im interested in changing over to watercooling & quite like the look of the kuhler 920 as its a complete WC kit off the shelf
but, i was wondering if its possible to change the black tubes to clear tubes & maybe add a dye to the coolant ?

if its a no go,
then i'll get back to the drawing board, also, does it make a difference where the reservoir is locationed ?
the reason im asking is that im going to get the silverstone FT02 case.

thanks

It's a closed system, so modding would really be somewhat adventurous - most likely it uses proprietary connectors.

As a note, the all-in-one systems don't have a (separate) reservoir - they have a block that attaches to the CPU, and a radiator that goes over a fan hole. Fans are attached to the radiator when you install it, and the pump is supplied permanently attached to either the block or the radiator, depending on the exact model.

it is technically possible, but it is also possible that the connectors and pipe diameter are bespoke to sealed antec/corsair units, so you may need to modify the connectors or use custom made pipe diameter conversion sections.

It is potentially too much hassle for what it is worth, though i would be interested in adding clear pipes and blue U.V dye to my 620 push-pull if someone wants to disprove my point.

Because it is a sealed unit, it could also be difficult to dismantle without spilling water/coolant all over the place.
