Hi all,
Regular lurker seeking advice,
Soon I will be passing my current system on to a friend. It is as follows.
Q9650@ 3.0
GTX280
4 Gig Ram 1066MHz
EP43-DS3L
XFI soundcard
Win7 64.
Everything is stock settings. Is a mild overclock of the CPU possible with the current motherboard ? Nothing outrageous. Just a little more grunt for him.
Dont want to have to consider any cooling options or extra outlay. Just a tweak if possible.
Please note I am not tech savvy and a mutual friend does all the building
Although he is a competent builder he is not an overclocker himself.
Any thoughts or recommendations ? If so is there a foolproof idiots guide or suggested settings ?
